Check this link out. Sarah Palin is starting to look a lot like a fringe right wing militia-sympathizing, aseverationist, racist, vindictive liar and backwoods redneck trash-talker who is going to put Barack Obama in the Whitehouse. "Sambo beat the bitch" is how Palin recently described Obama's victory over HIllary Clinton. There is a witness to this remark who stands by the accusation:

Do a little Googling on the Alaska Independence Party, which her husband Todd has belonged to, and to which Sarah Palin gave a rousing give-em-hell and keep-up-the-good work speech to earlier this year. McCain hasn't paid the Sarah Palin price yet politically, But he will. Sarah Palin the dumbest thing he did in a lifetime.

The sad thing is that this sort of thing still plays in Peoria.

It's not going to cost her much.

Keep an eye on the Alaska Independence Party story too. These guys are so extreme they defy description. And the Palins are them. That story hasn't even happened yet. But it will. Also, "sambo beat the bitch" may play well among already committed republicans (now there's a good idea!). But that remark isn't going to sit well with undecided independents, whose numbers are greater in this election than ever before. The only right-wing extremists I can think of--that compare to the Palins--are Lyndon LaRouche and the like. But those bonko wally world wackos never got this close to the Whitehouse.

It's is too bad history is so poorly taught in this country. Maybe more people would remember that it wasn't until the civil rights acts of '64 & '65 that even 50% of Dems voted for any kind of civil rights for minorities. When did the lie start that Republicans are the racist party? Consider the fact that the Dems were pro slavery, and the Republican party was started for the purpose of opposing and ending slavery. Which it did. It was Democrats who took the right to vote away from blacks in the south, after Republicans had given it to them. Republicans were the first to give women the right to vote. Grow up, check your own parties racist history, and then maybe you'll have something to say which is worth listening to.

As I have said before I do not support McCain-Palin, but this is crap.

No verifiable witnesses. Racist toward Alaska natives. She is married to one.

Come on lift the level of debate.

Phew. Republicans gave black people their civil rights? This is falderole if I ever heard it.

Yes, the old Yellowdog Southern Democrats were indeed racist segregationists. When the civil rights bill first came up, it was northern Democrats who made it happen. The only votes against came from Yellowdogs and republicans. In the years that followed, all those Yellowdog racist sob's became republicans. The white south is solidly republican now, largely because of civil rights for blacks.

Getting back to the Alaska Independence Party, John McCain likes to talk about "America first"

But the AIP is an asceverationist group that explicitly puts Alaska first. They want to revert to territorial status and seize all federal lands in the process. These people are the most extreme nut-cases imaginable, and Todd Palin was an active member not too long ago. Sarah Palin spoke (approvingly) to that group *just this year.* There is a link to that speech on youtube. I won't post it just yet. I let someone else bubble that one up. Sarah Palin is a good news bad news story that won't go away anytime soon. And the bad news part of the equation is growing almost exponentially.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving Sarah Palin’s table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The Alaskan governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the racial slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

“It was kind of disgusting,” Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.

Then, almost with a sigh, she added, “But that’s just Alaska.”

It's staring to buzz all over the Internet. It'll be interesting to see if it's true.

Check your facts again. If it hadn't been for Republicans, those bills never would have past. And even in a solidly northern state like Indiana, I run into more racist Dems than Reps. And if the white south is solidly republican, then how are any democrats ever elected there outside of those areas with solid black majorities? You are correct in believing that the character of both parties have changed. But not the way you think. Conservatives are not the racist bastards that so many on the left Want to believe they are. That is just a talking point for those who have a stake in continuing the lie that America is irretrievably racist, unless the left is in charge. As well as the scum who make money spreading hate and despair by telling minorities they can't make it in America. Stop falling for the bullshit.
